1. Think about your vision
Its important to take some time and dream up what you’d like your invitations to look like: hard or soft colours, lettering, photo embellishments, style – traditional or modern. Decide on a colour scheme (1-3 colours), your favourite fonts, and how you want to say your message.
2. Dive in to a style that fits your occasion.
Whether its baby shower, wedding invitations, or thank you cards, its important to choose a style of invitation that is custom to your tastes.

Wedding Invitation tips:
Save-the-dates are typically sent out 6-8 months before the wedding. Mailing save-the-dates as far in advance as 9 months is acceptable, especially for destination/international weddings.
Mailing invitations as early as 12 weeks before the wedding does happen, though it is rare. Adversely, mailing invitations just 4 weeks before the wedding can be acceptable if the guest list is very small, family-only, or mostly local.
